I have been using the Z4 for more than 3 years for LASIK flaps and KAMRA pocket procedures and highly recommend it. I began using the IntraLase in Canada in 2003 starting with the 10kHz, and used every model up to the 150kHz iFS. The Ziemer systems have a high Numerical Aperture, unlike ALL other femtosecond laser systems. This provides for a shorter focal length and allows for a more precise low energy high repetition rate system. One thousand times less energy per pulse and one times more pulses per second.
