The IntraLase FS and iFS Laser Systems are ophthalmic surgical lasers indicated for use in patients undergoing surgery or treatment requiring the initial lamellar resection of the cornea, in the creation of a lamellar cut/resection of the cornea for lamellar IntraLase-Enabled Keratoplasty (IEK), in the creation of a penetrating cut/incision for penetrating IEK, and for corneal harvesting.

The WaveLight FS200 Femtosecond Laser provides a high repetition rate for efficient flap creation with a low standard deviation in flap thickness, a small focus and special cut pattern to minimize OBLs (Opaque Bubble Layers), and a low pulse energy resulting in sharp cutting edges, smooth stromal beds, and easy-to-lift flaps.

  • Used in femto-LASIK flap creation, small incision lenticule extraction (SMILE), keratoplasty, and intracorneal ring segment placement
  • Minimum laser pulse energy at a high pulse frequency for incision control at the desired depth in the cornea, even with three-dimensional, curved incisions
  • Integrated, high-quality ZEISS surgical microscope, including digital video camera for live recording of the surgical procedure
  • Integrated slit illumination for monitoring and control immediately after treatment
  • Controlled via touchscreen and intuitive software

The VisuMax femtosecond laser is designed for therapeutic and refractive applications of corneal surgery. It has a low-suction curved interface, and no suction ring is applied to the eye. The laser has a 500-kHz frequency, so the flap is cut in about 10 seconds with relatively low energy. Flap thickness and diameter can be adjusted, and multiple corneal surgery options are available including femtosecond lenticule extraction and small incision lenticule extraction (SMILE) surgeries.
