RxLAL (Light Adjustable Lens)

RxSight

The RxLAL light adjustable lens is the first IOL to enable refractive correction after cataract surgery. Biocompatible materials called macromers incorporated into the makeup of the IOL undergo a chemical change known as photopolymerization in response to ultraviolet light of a certain wavelength. Using a proprietary light treatment surgeons can precisely reshape the lens based on the exact amount of visual correction and optimization needed to achieve desired vision after implantation.
