Retaine is a good lubricant that provides all day relief and visual comfort. I would definitely recommend this product to my colleagues for dry eye patients.

As a cationic emulsion, it has a sophisticated formula that contains mineral oil and replenishes all three layers of the tear film. Retaine MGD also contains Novasorb, a proprietary cationic oil-in-water nano emulsion technology with novel bioadhesive properties. Residence time on the ocular surface and drug bioavailability are enhanced because this technology utilizes the electrostatic interactions between the negatively charged ocular surface epithelium and the positively charged oil nano droplets. Electrostatic forces allow the emulsion to spread evenly over the conjunctive and cornea. Tear osmolarity is improved by the hypoosmotic properties of Retaine MGD. These unique properties provide effective, non-blurring, and long lasting relief for my patients with dry eye.
