I have been using this microscope for about 3 month for almost exclusively cataract surgery. In that time I have found it to be an excellent scope. The red reflex is bright and stays unchanged even with significant drift and tilt of the patient's eye. This was a feature I found incredibly annoying on other scopes I tried. They required constant following of the patient's eye to maintain the reflex. I don't have to move this scope at all in the vast majority of cases. I routinely use a 200 mm objective lens over the std 175 mm lens to increase the depth of field. Of the four surgeons who use this scope, 3 use the 200 and 1 stays with the 175. The computer interface is intuitive and ask users had their info programmed within 15 mins of installation. Movement of the microscope is effortless and is accomplished with the push of a button or with a cordless footpedal. All in all I think this was a great purchase and I would buy again.
